Remote · Europe Full-time From $200,000 + incentives

Media.com is building a verified media network where identifiable people and Organizations publish directly at the source. We are creating new infrastructure for trusted publishing, official communication and accountable participation online.

We are looking for a commercially ambitious Director of Brand Partnerships to lead the development of Media.com’s brand-partnership business with national and global brands across Europe.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can open doors at national and global level, develop strategic opportunities and turn ambitious ideas into valuable long-term partnerships. You will work with the largest brands, their agencies and major institutions while helping shape Media.com’s regional commercial strategy.

The opportunity

You will own the European brand-partnership pipeline from initial engagement through proposal, negotiation, activation and renewal, with a focus on national advertisers and global brands operating in the region.

The role spans major brand partnerships, category and market opportunities, Media Ads and other commercial programs developed as the Media.com network grows. You will work closely with executive leadership and colleagues across marketing, product, communications, operations and trust.

This is an opportunity to join Media.com at an early stage, influence how its commercial proposition develops, and help establish relationships with national and global brands that can define the network worldwide.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute Media.com’s brand-partnership strategy for national and global brands across Europe.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers at national advertisers, global brands, their agencies, communications firms and major institutions.
  • Create a high-quality pipeline of strategic, category, advertising and campaign opportunities at national and multi-market scale.
  • Lead the full commercial process from prospecting and discovery through proposals, presentations, negotiation, contracting and renewal.
  • Translate partner objectives into thoughtful programs that make effective use of Media.com’s network, publishing products and commercial capabilities.
  • Develop persuasive partnership proposals, presentations and commercial packages for national and global audiences.
  • Work with product, marketing, communications and operations teams to ensure partnerships can be delivered successfully at scale.
  • Represent Media.com at industry meetings, conferences and relevant market events.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and activity records within the company’s CRM.
  • Monitor partnership performance, identify opportunities for expansion into further markets, and build durable senior-level relationships.
  • Bring market intelligence into the business and help refine positioning, pricing and future partnership products.
  • Help develop the European partnerships function and contribute to future team growth.
  • Protect Media.com’s credibility by maintaining a clear separation between commercial partnerships and decisions concerning verification, moderation, editorial review and publication standards.

What you will bring

  • Significant senior experience in brand partnerships, media sales, advertising, sponsorships, strategic partnerships or a related commercial field.
  • A strong record of developing and closing substantial partnerships with national or global brands, or with the agencies that represent them.
  • Established relationships with senior leaders across marketing, communications, media, advertising or corporate affairs at national and global companies.
  • The ability to understand a partner’s objectives and build a compelling commercial solution around them.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Confidence working with executives and representing a company in high-level external discussions.
  • Commercial judgment, disciplined pipeline management and accountability for revenue outcomes.
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where products and commercial models continue to evolve.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work across product, marketing, operations and leadership teams.
  • An understanding of digital media, publishing, advertising technology or online platforms.
  • Availability to travel across Europe and internationally when required.

Particularly valuable experience

  • Building a partnerships function or entering a new market.
  • Selling category-exclusive, founding-partner or multi-market programs to national or global brands.
  • Working with communications agencies, media agencies or major corporate brands.
  • Developing partnerships for a technology platform, digital publisher, media network or marketplace.
  • Working in an early-stage or high-growth international business.

What success looks like

During your first year, you will:

  • Establish a credible European pipeline of national and global brand partnerships.
  • Secure high-value partnerships with recognized national and global brands and institutions.
  • Develop a repeatable commercial process from initial outreach through activation.
  • Build strong relationships with senior agency and brand decision-makers.
  • Help sharpen Media.com’s partnership proposition using direct market feedback.
  • Lay the foundations for a larger European commercial team.

Why Media.com
