This past weekend, we celebrated a dear friend of ours. Aging is such a beautiful part of life, and I truly enjoy embracing it. For Elio's 32nd birthday, I baked a berries and cream cake - my first time ever baking a cake from scratch! Although it may have been far from perfect, it was made with love, and I strongly believe that’s the best ingredient. I paired it with a strawberry purée so the fruitiness would balance the sweetness. It came out wonderfully. Every bite was enjoyed.
