Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan announced the proposal at the party’s state conference on Saturday, and if passed, would see employees in both the private and public sectors have the legal right to work from home for at least two days a week.

I do not agree with allowing employees to work from home 2 days a week. Whilst the flexibility is nice to have when required, some businesses will suffer from this if passed. From previous experience working in HR, some people are more productive at home, others tend to treat it as a day off and are not contactable during business hours at all.

The government put a pause on the alcohol excise duty for beer after serious concerns were raised by brewers and pubs about the impact it was having on the industry.

The excise duty on spirits is set to go up today. Not sure how you can only pause the excise duty for beer only but let's see what happens!

It's feared regional communities are set to be hit hardest by the change.
