Less than 24 hours after the app went dark, TikTok says President-elect Donald Trump has given it the reassurance it needs to resume service in the US.

Among those whose names have been mentioned as possible acquirers: Elon Musk and fellow billionaire Frank McCourt.

I am interested to see if Elon Musk will end up owning part of TikTok considering he was teasing the return of the Vine app.

As expected, TikTok being offline for the US was extremely short lived. This might just have been the most successful PR stunt to date.
