Appreciation for long walks that clear the mind and gets the heart pumping, not to mention all the health benefits as well.
I’ve always been an avid walker. In my early teens, I used to live in The Rocks and traffic, public transport, into the city used to be horrific along George St, so I’d walk to work which was about 30-40 minutes but that was sometimes quicker than the bus.
Now that I’m older, I carve out extra time to walk to places instead of using transport. I walk to the gym along the bay, it takes me an hour. I love the bay walk near Five Dock, I find the Brontë to Bondi walk exhilarating.
It feels so good to connect with nature, witness a gorgeous sunset or just to say hello to all the dogs on their daily walk.
