Madam Ji in Sydney's Darlinghurst is rebellious Indian food. I loved the mural of gorgeous Indian girls in traditional costume. They made a killer margarita and martini, which always makes for a great start to the night. Not traditional, but the burrata tadka was the perfect starter, served with crispy naan chips to mop up the sauce. When faced with the decision to order old-faithful butter chicken or Madam’s Special Chicken Curry, we went with the latter and were so glad we decided to be a little rebellious. It was perfect with the garlic, cheese naan, which I turned into a pizza slice. A must-order is their lamb chops from the tandoor, the meat was incredibly tender and juicy.
