I went to my first soccer game last night. Sydney FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers. It was a Sydney FC home game so the stadium was packed with blue jerseys. By half time, WSW were leading 3-1 and it wasn't looking good for SFC. It started to rain and with 20 minutes on the clock we decided to throw in the towel in the hopes of beating the potentially hoards of disappointed fans leaving the game at the end. We found ourselves at a cute gin bar in Surry Hills and as we're sipping on our cocktails, we checked the final score and were pleasantly surprised to find that SFC had managed to catch up, the game ended in a draw. My partner is convinced that if we didn't leave, they wouldn't of caught up and they would've lost. So really we saved the game last night, it's the only explanation.
