What is a Media.com Newsroom?
A Media.com Newsroom is a structured public destination for an organization or eligible individual to publish official content and present media information. It can bring together news, Press Releases, Official Statements, media contacts, leadership information and approved media assets in one place.
Who can have a Media.com Newsroom?
Media.com Newsrooms are primarily designed for organizations, including businesses, institutions, associations, public bodies and brands. They may also be available to eligible individuals such as public figures, politicians, creators, experts and other people with a public-facing role. Access is subject to eligibility and any required verification.
How do I start a Newsroom?
Select Start a Newsroom and tell us who it represents. Setup is free: add your description, media contacts and assets privately, then publish your first Press Release or Official Statement for US$295, or with a Publishing Credit, to make your Newsroom public. Start a Newsroom →
What is a Publishing Credit?
Each Publishing Credit publishes one Press Release or one Official Statement from your Newsroom. Credits come with Newsroom plans each year, or in discounted packs of 5, 10 or 25. Unused included credits roll forward for one additional subscription year while your plan remains active, up to one year’s allowance.
Can I choose how I use my credits?
Yes. Use them for any combination of Press Releases and Official Statements.
How much does a Media.com Newsroom cost?
Your Media.com Newsroom is free to create. Publish Press Releases and Official Statements for US$295 each — your first publication activates your public Newsroom. If you publish regularly, a Newsroom plan includes publications every year, and Publishing Credit packs reduce the cost per publication.
What can I publish in my Newsroom?
Depending on your access and profile type, a Newsroom can present Articles, Posts, Videos, Shorts, Press Releases and Official Statements alongside media contacts, leadership information and approved media assets. Press Releases and Official Statements are paid publication formats and require a separate purchase or an available credit. They are not automatically included simply because a Newsroom is active.
Does a Media.com Newsroom replace our existing newsroom?
It does not have to. A Media.com Newsroom can operate alongside your existing corporate newsroom as a verified source for official publications and media information. Available integration and embedding options can also help connect your Media.com Newsroom with your existing website and communications channels.
What verification is required?
Media.com verifies the identity of participating publishers. For an organization Newsroom, Media.com may also need to confirm the organization, the identity of its representative and that representative’s authority to act for it. Verification confirms who is responsible for the Newsroom. It does not mean Media.com endorses the organization or independently verifies everything it publishes.
