Reporting impersonation

If someone is pretending to be you, tell us and we will prioritise it.

Updated 18 August 2026 1 minute read

On this page

Impersonation means an account is presenting itself as you, or as an organisation, without authority.

What to do

  1. Report the account and choose the identity reason.
  2. Include the handle of the account and, if you have one, of your own.
  3. If it involves money, say so.

What happens next

Impersonation cases always reach a person. They are never resolved automatically.

Verifying your own identity is the strongest protection: it lets us show unambiguously which account is you.
