Forced Evolution As it happens, GenAI is pushing us to evolve, forcing to take on an active, visionary role as architects and creative leaders. For the developer community, the challenge is real—and so is the opportunity. What we have comfortably accepted as reality for years is now becoming extinct, shifting us to think differently, rethinking our role. This new reality requires us to become architects in every sense of the word: to lay down architectural guardrails and policies for software stack, cloud, and reliability architecture, rather than simply hiding ourselves in our favorite coding patterns. We are now decision-makers, each and every one of us. I would propose that our education systems focus more on these aspects, on architecture of every aspect, instead of just teaching tricks of the coding languages. Now, it’s about combining leadership and decision-making with real field context for every role out there. And, we should really learn how to express our vision in most concise and clear way, maybe read more, practice our writing skills ... Anyway, we don’t want to miss this evolution, do we? It's such a great opportunity to level up!
