My name is Brigette Panetta. In 2020 my life was turned upside down by a significant trauma and injustice. My partner's business was unfairly targeted just two days before becoming a mother for the first time. I have been broken down and forced to rebuild to protect myself and my family. I hope that by sharing my experience with you I can raise awareness and inspire others to persevere through turbulent times.

I’ll never forget the moment I saw my daughter mentioned in court documents.
She was just a baby and yet, there it was. I feel I had failed her a mother. We were painted as a family who would flee the country…
When in reality, we were just trying to survive.
Navigating lockdowns, a newborn, and the chaos of early parenthood we had no clue what we were doing. We were cooperating fully, doing our best through the unknowns of COVID and trying to keep our daughter safe.
But the weight of being so deeply misunderstood broke something in me. I ended up hospitalised from the panic, the grief, the fear.
That was the turning point. I knew I had to heal.
I turned to reiki, to scream therapy, forgiveness and to every holistic tool I could find to release the trauma my body was carrying.
