The Labor-Allan Government’s push to legislate work-from-home rights for the private sector is logistically almost impossible, legal experts have revealed.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan announced the proposal at the party’s state conference on Saturday, and if passed, would see employees in both the private and public sectors have the legal right to work from home for at least two days a week.

I do not agree with allowing employees to work from home 2 days a week. Whilst the flexibility is nice to have when required, some businesses will suffer from this if passed. From previous experience working in HR, some people are more productive at home, others tend to treat it as a day off and are not contactable during business hours at all.
