✨ Celebrating Diwali – The Festival of Lights ✨
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of India’s most loved and celebrated traditions. It’s a five-day festival that symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and hope over despair.
Each day carries its own meaning — from cleansing and preparation to celebration, gratitude, and renewal. Yesterday marked Day 1, when I performed a small puja (prayer) to welcome positivity and prosperity into my home.
Even though I’m miles away from India, lighting those diyas (lamps) and saying a quiet prayer made me feel close to home — reminding me that festivals are not just about rituals, but about carrying light within us wherever we are. 🪔

Honestly, this feels like the ultimate Gen Z plot twist—picking a national leader on Discord. From memes to mass movements, it’s wild but also kind of inspiring that young people are finding new ways to have a voice. Sushila Karki stepping in adds real credibility too—it’s not just a popularity contest but a demand for integrity. Sure, Discord polls aren’t exactly bulletproof democracy, but it does show that when traditional politics fails, people will find creative (and chaotic) ways to be heard.

Over the week, multiple polls were held by representatives of the protest movement on Discord to nominate possible leaders and Karki emerged as a favourite, widely praised for her integrity
