Verification Rules of Engagement

Here’s what to keep in mind when we verify your identity prior to activating your Media.com profile:

  • Users must meet specific eligibility criteria, including being at least 18 years of age.
  • Users must provide truthful, accurate information, along with legitimate supporting documents.
  • Media.com reserves the right to suspend an account, either temporarily or permanently, if we determine that the verification attempt involves false or fraudulent information, or if the user fails to meet the required eligibility standards.
  • If a user believes that they were wrongfully denied a verified profile, they have the right to raise an appeal.

Eligibility

To obtain a verified profile on Media.com, users must meet certain eligibility criteria. Media.com reserves the right to take action against any account if we determine that the information provided is false or does not comply with our Verification Policy.

Actions We May Take

If Media.com considers in its sole discretion any user attempts to obtain a verified Media.com profile using false or fraudulent information or documents, or that the eligibility requirements are not met, we may:

  • temporarily suspend the account of the user(s);
    and/or,
  • permanently block the account of the user(s)

Appeals

We offer a transparent appeals process that allows users to contest decisions regarding profile verification.

If a user believes that they were wrongfully denied a verified profile, they have the right to raise an appeal.

Appeals decisions are at Media.com’s sole discretion and are aimed at maintaining the trust, safety and integrity of the Media.com network.
