Verified Accounts Policy
Version: 2.0
Last updated: December 22, 2024
Overview
To help maintain the integrity of our network, we offer profile verification for individuals and organizations wishing to post content on Media.com.
Verification ensures that users are accountable for the content they share, reducing the risk of misinformation and disinformation. However, please note that verification does not guarantee content is entirely risk-free.
By completing the profile verification process, users consent to having their full name or legal business name displayed on their verified profile.
Additionally, users acknowledge that once verified, they may be unable to change their profile name or date of birth.

Actions We May Take

and/or, - permanently block the account of the user(s)
If Media.com considers any profile verification attempts to be in violation of any laws, we may report the attempts to relevant law enforcement agencies and share information relating to the verification attempt(s) in line with our Law Enforcement Liaison Policy.
Appeals
At Media.com, we offer a transparent appeals process that allows users to contest decisions regarding profile verification.
If you believe that you were wrongfully denied a verified profile, you have the right to raise an appeal.
Appeals decisions are at Media.com’s sole discretion and are aimed at maintaining the trust, safety and integrity of the Media.com network. Appeals are only allowed in rare, exceptional cases.
Best Endeavors
At Media.com, we verify the identities of users to help prevent the spread of misinformation, reduce the presence of bots, and ensure that only legitimate individuals and organizations are posting content. While identity verification enhances the integrity of our platform, it does not eliminate all risks, and Media.com cannot guarantee that the platform is completely free from bots, illegitimate profiles, or misleading content.
